Grating

Corrosion resistant over a wide pH range acidic and caustic - premium grade polyester or vinyl ester resins provides excellent anti corrosion properties.

Impact resistant - Allows repeated deflection without permanent deformation. Deflection will occur with the impact of a heavy object, once the object is removed our fibreglass grating returns to its original shape eliminating the need for replacement gratings.

Weather and fire resistant - tested in accordance with ASTM-E-84 Tunnel Test Method our grating has achieved a class 1 flame spread rating of 25 or less.

Light weight high strength - light enough to install without the need for hoists, cranes or forklift trucks. Our 25mm thick grating weighs just 12 kilos sq m and the 38mm just 18 kilos sq m.

Anti-slip - the slip resistant feature of fibreglass grating is created during the moulding process when the top surface shrinks back to create a concave effect which provides positive traction, hard-wearing quartz grit is then added to provide extended life.

Special Gratings

If you plan to put your grating directly onto the floor then you should consider using this low-cost 20mm grating.
It is manufactured using the same high quality resin as the rest of our range. Ramps can also be manufactured to create a seamless non-trip walking area.

Mini-Mesh grating has holes that are just 13mm square.
The grating is 30mm thick and because of the close bearing bars, this grating has superior strength.
Available from stock in 2m x 1m sheets in green only.

All types of gratings are now available with a solid laminated surface. The laminate is 3mm thick and is gritted for maximum anti-slip properties.
This results in a high strength, lightweight composite flooring panel.
