Fibreglass Plate
Glass reinforced polyester flat sheet can be manufactured with a plain, gritted, leatherette or chequer plate surface. Available in most colours within the BS5252 or RAL ranges.
Fibreglass plate is manufactured in depths from 1.5mm up to 20mm. It can be drilled, bored and cut using conventional tooling.
As well as being water and corrosion resistant it is also shatterproof and slip resistant. Fibreglass plate can be manufactured to provide low, medium or high degrees of chemical resistance.
For increased rigidity, Composite plate can be bonded to a substrate of your choice, such as ply wood or high-density foam.
Fire Resistance
Fibreglass plate can be manufactured in a choice of fire grades: General Purpose, Class II, Class I. Unlike other coloured plastic sheets, Composite Durbar will not drip, melt or soften in the event of a fire.
Slip Resistance
Our fibreglass plate has been tested in accordance with BS 7976-2: 2002 and has achieved a rating of 79 in wet conditions and 92 in dry conditions. Above 65 is considered to be excellent.
Applications
Walkways, Ramps, Grid Floor Covers, Scuff Panels, Tank Lids, Anti Slip Flooring, Floor Coverings,
Decking, Drain Covers and Inspection Platforms.
Size: Available in 2 x 1 metre sheets

Fibreglaze
Impact Resistant Glazing Products
Negates the need for the constant
replacement of glass and the crippling costs associated with ongoing maintenance and call outs.
Our impact resistant panels are possibly the toughest glazing materials available. The panels are virtually unbreakable and have a high resistance to impact, shock and wind loading whilst maintaining an aesthetic appearance.
Applications Include,
Balcony panels, Factory Roof lights, vacant property, bus shelters, car parks, stairwell glazing, schools, security screens, fire doors and swimming pools
Vandal Resistant
They can withstand blows from boots, hammers and general unlawful impact. Will not break and fragment
Graffiti Resistant – Graffiti can be cleaned using proprietary cleaners or solvents without degrading or smudging the product in any way. With the application of a UV resistant coating, panels will not yellow or degrade when exposed to long term sunlight.
Versatility
The fibreglaze range can be supplied as either stock sheets or made to size, allowing specifiers significant savings by not having to incur waste and cost in the form of off cuts.
Surface Protection
In the past GRP had a tendency to yellow and loose translucency, after prolonged exposure to sunlight, rain and extremes of temperature. A clear polyester membrane is now heat bonded to the range providing
- High resistance to UV degradation and yellowing
- Easy graffiti removal without permanent smudging or damage
- Easy to clean
- Greater strength retention
Product Range
Fibreguard
Resembles Georgian wired cast or plate glass. Welded wire mesh is encapsulated within the laminates of fibreglass. Installations include balcony panels, stairwell glazing and roof light applications.
Fibrelight
Has no wire or mesh encapsulation. Used in applications which require light transmission whilst providing security and privacy.
Fibremesh
Steel mesh reinforced GRP glazing which is incredibly tough anti vandal sheet, providing excellent physical and visual deterrent to vandals. Excellent for bus shelters, security screens, telephone booths, vacant local authority property.
Installation
The fibreglaze product range can be easily installed without the risk of breaking or fragmenting. Compared with glass our product is up to 200 times stronger, yet approximately half the weight enabling ease of installation, particularly on above ground applications. Panels can be easily cut, drilled and installed using conventional tools and fitting methods. Standard polyurethane or silicone mastics have no adverse reaction with the panels.

Fibrecore
- GRP Composite Panels
Fibrecore panels are manufactured by press bonding Fibretex GRP onto a range of core materials to produce an attractive, yet functional, cladding / infill solution for a wide variety of new build and refurbishment applications.
Panels are tailor made to suit individual customer requirements, and combinations of thickness, colour and surface texture can be incorporated to provide a wide choice of design configurations.
Potential uses - in addition to Fybatex applications - include:
- Curtain Walling Systems
- Insulated Infill Panels
- Modular Buildings
- Shelters
- Document 'L' Applications
- Doors
- Blast Panels
Cores are pre-treated to ensure all-over adhesion and are press bonded to laminates resulting in a rigid structure and flexural resistance. The choice of cores can be influenced by cost, weight saving, physical characteristics, fire performance and / or insulation value and includes:
- Styrofoam
- Polyurethane Foam
- Plywood
- Phenolic Foam
- Door Blanks
The heat retention property ("U" value) of panels depends on the thickness and type of core material that is used. For example, panels can be manufactured to meet or exceed Document L requirements. Alternative skins such as aluminium and steel can also be used.
Fibrecore products are generally available with a variety of edging details as shown:
